We propose to establish a new identity for the location within the Grorud Valley extension by clearly defining the site with a clear and bold gesture. While the center will be read as a single frame, the complex will need to be broken down into smaller components. The creation of smaller spaces within the complex allows us to locate four major areas where different architectural building types and new public spaces with differing qualities and atmospheres can be constructed.

The complex is a deliberate construction of anew intensive urban environment. This proposal's consciously dense urban strategy is an intentional counterpoint to the suburban ambitions of its sprawled neighbors. The complex's new density will be a compression of various emblematic building, landscape and public space typologies and experiences as well as a multiplicity of programmes and activities that are collectively structured by the larger gesture of marking the site. Various housing unit types, amenities as well as public and commercial spaces are introduced to house a new constituency of residents and workers.
